Florida’s rabbit community is always growing, learning, and sharing. In this issue, you’ll hear from contributors across the state, learn from fellow breeders and exhibitors, catch up on the latest Sweepstakes standings, and review important FSRCBA financial updates. It’s a snapshot of what’s happening across our clubs—and the people who make it all possible.

Hi Members,
Our Florida youth have worked tirelessly all year at local fairgrounds and state benefit shows to hone their skills. Now, they are ready to step onto the national stage to compete in world-class breed specialties, showmanship contests, royalty competitions, and team judging events. Beyond the intense competitions, this convention offers our youth invaluable opportunities to learn directly from master judges and veterinarians in advanced educational.
Let's wish the best of luck to all of our incredible
FSRCBA youth members as they fly, drive, and hop their way to Reno! Bring home those Best in Show honors and Best of luck to our Senior team and also individual and district youth contestants.

Hello FSRCBA Membership,
Boy, this has been a HOT summer. I'm writing from Dallas on a work trip, and it is 5am and ALREADY 90 degrees. So much for the cool down in the “-ber” months.
We have had some good shows this past quarter, and I am looking forward to what the Fall season will bring us. Convention is fast approaching in October, and I wish everyone GOOD luck and SAFE travels as you head out to Reno this year.
It is also that time of the year when our Youth members start looking at State and County Fairs for not just Rabbits, but many other project species. Feed well, water often, and don’t forget to hug your animals, big and small.

Hello FSRCBA Members,
It’s that time of the year for ARBA Convention and we have a good group of FSRCBA Youth members attending and I wish them all the best of luck. Upcoming is our Benefit show (12/5/2026 Inverness Fl.) that helps fund the Benefit Fund for our members that are confronted with a tragedy or special needs. All the breed sanctions for this show are sponsored by exhibitors as a donation. FSRCBA appreciates all donations for this show from breed sanctions to raffle items. Help us out with this show by volunteering at the concession stand or raffle table. Please email me at fsrcbasecretary@gmail.com if you are wanting to sanction a breed by November 6th.

Convention Is Just Around the Corner!
Convention is just around the corner, and our youth would like to wish good luck to everyone who will be attending and competing! We are excited to see everyone represent our state, their breeds, and the rabbit and cavy community.
We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Youth Benefit Show at the beginning of August. Your support means so much to our youth program. Without the generosity of our exhibitors, families, volunteers, and supporters, we would not be able to help our youth attend convention or provide scholarships and other opportunities throughout the year.
Keep Studying and Preparing!
Even though Convention is coming up at the end of October, that does not mean it is time to stop studying. In fact, now is the perfect time to begin preparing for next year!
Reno may be quite a distance to travel this year, but next year's convention will be closer. Don't wait until the last minute to begin preparing. Start studying now! The more you practice throughout the year, the more confident and prepared you will be when convention arrives.
If you are a current youth member, be sure to check your email for invitations to upcoming study sessions. Also, keep an eye on our Facebook page for Blookets, games, PowerPoint presentations, study materials, and other fun ways to practice and improve your knowledge.
Our goal is to work together throughout the year so that we can be the best we can be when we arrive at next year's convention!
We hope to see everyone at the upcoming shows. If you have questions about the youth program, contests, studying, or getting involved, please come talk to us. We are always happy to help!

Coastal State would like to thank all the exhibitors who showed at our May show. Congratulations to all the winners. Our next show will be in Dover on October 3, 2026. It will be a Triple Open, Triple Youth, and Single Cavy. We hope to see everyone there. Good luck to all the FSRCBA youth attending and competing at the 2026 ARBA Convention.

Greetings, everyone. I hope you’ve all marked your calendar for July 11th to attend the Mid-Florida RBA show in Inverness. In the meantime, take 3 minutes to soak in this article and come prepared to be a good winner.
Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due
We all enjoy adding new stock to our herd—whether it's to improve certain qualities in their breeding program or simply to have a nice rabbit to show off on the show table.
Here's a friendly reminder for both new and seasoned breeders: Always give credit to the breeder who produced those winning rabbits.
Sadly, some people forget to give credit—or worse, intentionally avoid doing so and leave others with the impression that they bred the rabbit themselves. Acknowledging the breeder costs nothing, but it shows respect for the time, effort, knowledge, and dedication that went into producing a quality animal.
None of us gets far in this hobby without help from others. A simple mention of the breeder behind a successful rabbit is a small gesture that goes a long way and helps strengthen the relationships that make our hobby thrive.
Celebrating your wins is part of the fun. Sharing the credit makes the hobby stronger for everyone.
